Car ring busted
Three members of a group of Greek and Albanian nationals who allegedly used forged documents to purchase luxury cars in Greece, which they then exported and resold in Albania, were arrested on Friday.
Police estimate that the gang?s illegal operations had netted 450,000 euros, with most of the money collected by the ring?s alleged mastermind, a 40-year-old Albanian man. According to police reports, the latter?s 28-year-old wife allegedly undertook to launder some 253,000 euros through the purchase of winning OPAP tickets.
Another 11 people are being sought in connection to the case.
