Business rep held over 19-mln-euro tax evasion
A 66-year-old man was arrested in Thessaloniki on Tuesday as his company owes more than 19 million euros to the state, police said.
The unnamed man is the representative of the bathroom fittings retailer, which allegedly owes 19.3 million euros in unpaid taxes.
Dozens of suspected tax evaders have been arrested over the last couple of months as part of a drive to recover unpaid taxes and to deter people from dodging their dues.
