UN mediator to meet Dimas after talks with Gruevski

The United Nations mediator in the name dispute between Greece and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Matthew Nimetz (photo), is due to arrive in Athens on Wednesday to hold talks with Foreign Minister Stavros Dimas.

His visit comes after a meeting with FYROM?s Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, though Nimetz has said that he has no solid proposals to make on how stalled negotiations should proceed.

Nimetz will meet with Dimas over a working lunch at 1.30 p.m., after which he will also hold meetings with members of the Greek political leadership.
