Bomb scare at Athens appeals court

Police on Friday evacuated and cordoned of the premises of the Athens appeals court on Alexandras Avenue after an anonymous caller warned that a bomb had been planted there.

The caller did not say when the device said to have been planted at the courts was due to go off.

Members of the police?s bomb disposal unit were dispatched to the site and were searching the premises.

The appeals court was targeted by a hoax caller last month.
