Ex-mayor and son beaten during burglary
The former mayor of the Athens municipality of Acharnon and his family fell victim to a group of five robbers in their home late on Thursday, who tied them up and beat Tasos Moustakatos, as well as his son, before ransacking the property.
The robbers stormed into the home, tied up the family and beat the two male residents.
After removing money, jewelry and other valuables, the perpetrators made off in the family?s two cars that were parked in the indoor garage.
