Two arrests made over Kozani murder

Police in Kozani on Monday were questioning two suspects in connection with the murder of a man who was found on Sunday afternoon on his property outside the northern Greek city.

The suspects, a 29-year-old Albanian man and a 43-year-old Romanian woman, are suspected of beating the victim to death during a mugging.

The 50-year-old was an employee of Public Power Corporation and was found dead by members of his family, having suffered from repeated blows to his head.

One or both of the suspects allegedly beat the man repeatedly with a tire iron in order to rob him of 105 euros and the gold cross he wore around his neck.
