Prosecutor to probe soccer derby violence
The Athens prosecutor?s office ordered an investigation on Tuesday into the violence at the Olympic Stadium that forced the Super League soccer game between rivals Panathinaikos and Olympiakos to be abandoned on Sunday.
Prosecutor Haris Lakafosis will try to discover whether Panathinaikos and the stadium management took appropriate action ahead of the match to prevent clashes between some Panathinaikos fans and riot police.
