Metro, ISAP, tram workers call four-hour strike on Wednesday
Workers on the Athens metro, the tram and the ISAP electric railway will be walking off the job for four hours on Wednesday in protest at measures aimed at streamlining public transportation.
Commuters in the Greek capital will have to use buses and trolley buses from around 10.30 a.m. to around 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday as drivers at the metro, ISAP and tram, which are all operated by STASY SA, meet to discuss likely further action against management’s plans to alter the terms of their collective labor agreement and to reduce labor costs through staff transfers and sackings.
