Makis Psomiadis in custody at Korydallos Prison

Makis Psomiadis, the businessman and Kavala soccer club owner at the heart of a match-fixing investigation arrived at Korydallos Prison on Wednesday after being remanded in custody by an Athens prosecutor on Tuesday.

The soccer club owner was extradited to Greece on Monday, after he had been arrested in Skopje, capital of FYROM, in November. He had fled Greece after a magistrate had decided to bail him after charging him with being a member of a large match-fixing ring.

Psomiadis has denied the charges.
