Burglars targeting bank customers in their homes
Police in Athens said on Wednesday that they were seeking the members of a ring of burglars believed to be targeting victims immediately after they make withdrawals from banks.
The latest victim was a 64-year-old woman in Koropi, eastern Attica, who told police she opened her front door to be confronted by four armed, hooded burglars.
They forced her back into her home and made her hand over 80,800 euros she had withdrawn from the bank earlier that day, police said.
