Association files animal abuse complaint

The Hellenic Association of Animal Lovers on Friday submitted a complaint to an Athens prosecutor accompanied by four photographs of dogs being killed, ostensibly for human consumption.

According to the complaint, foreign nationals residing in central Athens have been gathering and killing strays in order to eat them or sell their flesh.

The association took action after receiving a slew of anonymous complaints.
