Strong quake off Rhodes felt as far away as Cyprus
A strong quake, measuring between 5.5 and 6 on the Richter scale according to varying reports, occurred some 120 kilometers southeast of Rhodes, close to Turkey, shortly before 5 p.m. on Monday.
There were no reports of any damage or injuries provoked by the quake, whose epicenter was just 10 kilometers below the seabed.
The tremor was felt as far away as Cyprus, according to seismologists.
