Veteran PASOK politician, Lefteris Verivakis, dies
Veteran PASOK politician Lefteris Verivakis died at the age of 77 on Monday.
He was on holiday in his native Crete when he complained of feeling unwell but died as he was being taken to the hospital in Rethymno.
Verivakis served as the head of five different ministries during his lengthy political career. These included the Social Insurance and Energy ministries.
