Greek e-crimes squad prevents suicide in Australia

Greek electronic crimes officers were able to prevent the attempted suicide of a resident of Australia on Wednesday after receiving a tip-off from a local user of the Skype instant messaging service.

A Greek man called the squad?s 11012 hotline saying that his Skype interlocutor had shared suicidal thoughts.

After tracking his whereabouts, the Greek officers contacted Interpol, which alerted authorities in Australia as to his intentions.
