Hijacked tanker and crew found safe off Nigeria
A Greek-owned oil tanker that was hijacked on Tuesday off the coast of Togo, West Africa, was found on Wednesday in Nigerian waters, with its crew in good health, according to operator Golden Energy Management.
The Energy Centurion has a crew of 24 — all Russian — and was carrying 56,000 tons of gasoil, which the company believes was the real target of the pirates.
