No metro service on Saturday morning
The first day of September will see industrial action return to Athens public transport as the metro will not start operating on Saturday before noon.
The union of metro workers announced on Thursday a work stoppage from the start of the shift at 5.30 a.m. until 12.00 noon in order to hold a general meeting.
Unionists are set to decide in favor of strikes to protest for the pay cuts they have suffered.
Although the work stoppage begins at 5.30, the general meeting will not start before 10 a.m.
