Report links Greek guerrilla group with Italian gunmen
Two self-proclaimed Italian anarchists detained for the shooting of the head of an Italian nuclear engineering firm in May had sought to foster connections with the Greek guerrilla organization Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire, according to a report in Il Messaggero.
The Italian daily alleged Alfredo Cospito and Nicola Gai — who were jailed in Turin last week on charges of shooting and injuring Roberto Adinolfi, chief executive of Ansaldo Nucleare — had met with a Greek named Christos Tasioulas in Naples a few weeks before the attack.
According to the daily, Tasioulas informed the anarchists that the attack would take place on May 7, the day that Adinolfi was shot. The report did not clarify whether the Greek group has a role in the shooting.
