Tsipras slams report linking him to public contracts
SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras has dismissed as ill-intentioned ?mudslinging? a newspaper article that claimed the leftist politician, a civil engineer, had been awarded contracts for public works.
The article alleged that Tsipras, along with a relative and an associate won the contract to revamp a public square. The SYRIZA chief vehemently denies this was the case.
He admits setting up a construction firm at the start of his career but said the company never took on any public contracts.
