Local official arrested for bribery
Police in Agrinio, central Greece, have arrested a 58-year-old local official on suspicion of bribery.
The unnamed suspect, an employee at the Regional Authority of Western Greece, was arrested while accepting 1,200 euros from a 31-year-old man in order to help him obtain a license to operate machinery used in public works.
