Driver, 79, detained over ‘hit and run’
A 79-year-old motorist was detained Tuesday on charges of fleeing the scene of a traffic accident, which resulted in the injury of a 3-year-old girl, police in the Cretan prefecture of Lasithi said.
The girl had been walking with her father when the elderly motorist lost control of his vehicle and hit the child.
The exact circumstances of the accident remained unclear.
