Siemens probe moves to Germany
Greece?s longstanding investigation into the Siemens cash-for-contracts scandal is due to take a new turn next week, when prosecutor Maria Nikolakea is expected to ask 12 high-ranking Siemens employees in Germany to give evidence.
The seven-year probe has not led to any convictions so far, although dozens of people, including 70 OTE telecom employees, have been charged. However, prosecutors believe that those accused of paying bribes so their company would be awarded lucrative state contracts should also face charges.
