Police arrest bullet package recipient

Police in Melissia, nothern Athens, arrested a 41-year-old man identified as the alleged recipient of a package containing bullets. The parcel, which contained 200 bullets, was intercepted at Iraklio’s international airport on Tuesday after an unidentified sender, who was being saught by police, attempted to send it via courier service.

A similar package containing bullets had been intercepted at the Cretan airport last week. It had been destined for an address in Ileia, in the Peloponnese.
