Police officer charged with mugging
A 31-year-old police special guard was arrested Friday on charges of stealing 1,200 euros at gunpoint from an Iranian national, while police also detained his suspected accomplice, a 29-year-old security firm employee.
According to reports, the latter is believed to be the perpetrator of another two armed muggings on immigrants in the same area. Police traced the 31-year-old and his alleged accomplice after the Iranian man reported the attack and gave a detailed description of the two men.
