Municipal workers to stand trial for German consul attack
Tensions rose outside the Public Prosecutor’s offices in Thessaloniki on Saturday when unionists who attempted to enter the pretrial hearing of three municipal employees facing charges in connection with an attack against German Consul Wolfgang Hoelscher-Obermaier on Thursday, clashed with riot police. The three men were later released and ordered to appear in court on Monday.
