Task force solves 1994 murder
A newly established homicide task force, whose job it is to investigate old unsolved crimes by re-examining evidence using modern technology, said on Thursday that it has solved the murder of a Thessaloniki man 18 years ago.
Police submitted to a prosecutor a file outlining its case against a 37-year-old Romanian national who is suspected to have beaten to death a 62-year-old man in the bathtub of his home in July 1994.
Investigators suggested that the crime was erotically motivated.
