Father dies in crash, teenage son seriously injured
A 44-year-old motorist died on Saturday after he lost control of his vehicle in Serres, northern Greece. Two passengers – the driver’s sons, aged 14 and 15 – were injured as the vehicle overturned after crashing into a tree along the Irakleia-Strymonikos road.
The 15-year-old was in the hospital and his condition was said to be serious.
Police were investigating the cause of the accident, though preliminary evidence has suggested that the victim had been driving under the influence of alcohol.
