A demonstrator is visible through a hole in a banner proclaiming ‘No’ to the government’s legislation naming six sites in western and eastern Attica as chosen to host waste management landfills later this year. About 200 people from the affected areas blocked traffic on a major avenue outside Parliament for about four hours yesterday. They will be back tomorrow when a parliamentary committee begins discussing the bill.
