Three arrested over double sibling murder in Xanthi

Three Georgian nationals have been detained in connection with the murder of two elderly sisters whose bodies were found on Thursday in their home in the village of Komnina, near Xanthi in northeastern Greece, police said on Friday.

Officers caught the suspects following a car chase on the Egnatia Highway.

According to police, the suspects admitted to stabbing the sisters before burgling their home.

A glove dropped by one of the suspects at the scene of the crime led police to them.
