Nationalists sue troika for crimes against humanity

Struggling nationalist party Independent Greeks on Tuesday filed a suit against the representatives of the International Monetary Fund, the European Commission and the European Central Bank – collectively known as the troika – for alleged crimes against the Greek people and humanity.

The right-wing party claims the measures imposed by the troika led to a number of Greeks committing suicide. The measures “gradually caused in the soul of each victim a morbid disposition,” the party argued.

The suit was sent to the Supreme Court prosecutor’s office, which, in line with protocol, will forward it to the International Criminal Court.
