Man suspected of multiple robberies in Piraeus area faces prosecutor

A 41-year-old Greek man believed to be behind a string of armed robberies on convenience stores, street kiosks and betting offices in the port of Piraeus and in nearby Drapetsona and Keratsini faced a prosecutor on Wednesday on multiple charges of theft.

A raid on his home turned up a pistol, ammunition and a small quantity of heroin.
