Athenians hold protest against Skouries gold mine in Halkidiki
Hundreds of people took to the streets of central Athens on Tuesday evening to protest against the gold mine in Skouries, Halkidiki.
It is estimated that about 2,000 people too part in the protest, which came after a much bigger demonstration in Thessaloniki on Saturday.
There was also a gathering earlier on Tuesday in Komotini, where residents protested against plans for gold mining activity in Evros.
