Horse meat traced in local beef products
Greece’s food watchdog has found traces of horse meat in frozen burgers, frankfurter sausages and luncheon meat.
The Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) said that it had found horse meat in 10-pack burgers produced by Yfantis, in Nikas beef frankfurters and 300-gram cans of Nikas beef luncheon meat.
EFET also discovered horse meat in five Houtos Catering frozen meat products.
