Syntagma metro station to close at 5 p.m. Friday
Syntagma metro station is to close from 5 p.m. on Friday ahead of a scheduled concert at 6 p.m. being organized by university students protesting new reforms reducing the number of faculties at the country’s universities and technical colleges as part of broader government cutbacks.
The police said the station would be closed from 5 p.m. until the end of the concert though it remained unclear when the event was expected to end.
