Man faces charges over 1.45 million euros debts to state
A 58-year-old man faced a prosecutor in Sparta, in the Peloponnese, on Tuesday in connection with an unpaid tax bill of 1.45 million euros.
The authorities have intensified their efforts in recent months to crack down on tax cheats in a bid to raise much-needed revenue.
