Cyprus has until 2018 to fulfill bailout terms

Cyprus has been given two more years, until 2018, to meet the conditions of a 10 billion-euro bailout under a final agreement with the eurozone lenders, a government official said on Tuesday.

The period to implement the measures under the bailout programme was extended by two years from 2016 to 2018 to “ease pressure on the economy,” government spokesman Christos Stylianides said. [AFP]
