Venizelos to testify in Lagarde probe
PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos, who is also Greece’s former finance minister, was on Thursday expected to testify before the parliamentary committee probing the handling of the so-called Lagarde list containing the names of about 2,000 Greeks with deposit accounts at a Geneva branch of HSBC.
Reports said former Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou would be invited to testify on Tuesday next week.
The head of the parliamentary committee Christos Markoyiannakis said the panel is likely to unveil its findings after the Easter break.
