Two Athens businessmen arrested for tax evasion
The managers of two Athens-based companies were to face a prosecutor on Wednesday on charges relating to unpaid debts to the state.
The 69-year-old managing director of a company based in Exarchia was arrested for allegedly withholding 2.46 million euros in value-added tax while an 87-year-old manager of another company based near the city center was to answer for 74,371 euros in unpaid VAT.
