Arson attack on cafe destroys healthcare provider offices in Glyfada
Police on Wednesday were probing an arson attack on a cafe-bar in the coastal suburb of Glyfada by assailants who threatened employees with guns before vandalizing and dousing the premises with petrol and torching them.
The fire destroyed the premises of the “Rich” cafe on the ground floor before spreading to the offices of Greece’s main healthcare provider (EOPYY) above, where the blaze caused serious damage before it was extinguished by firefighters.
Local residents insured with EOPYY should use branches in neighboring municipalities until the offices have been renovated.
