Detained immigrants diagnosed with scabies at Markopoulo police station

Nine immigrants detained at the Markopoulo police station in northeastern Attica have been diagnosed with scabies, according to a report filed by the Panhellenic Confederation of Police Officers (POASY) to the head of Hellenic Police.

The report noted the police station’s “unacceptable” detention conditions and the health risks involved for both detainees and police officers.
