Ferry services resume at Piraeus following seamen’s protest over unpaid wages

There was disruption to ferry and hydrofoil services at Piraeus on Wednesday morning due to a protest by seamen who were demanding unpaid wages.

Several crossings were delayed as the sailors demonstrated against six ferry companies that they said owed wages to their employees.

The protest ended at around 10 a.m., when the seamen received assurances that the salaries would be paid.
