Three patients receive vital organs after stroke victim’s death
The death of a 55-year-old man from a stroke in Alexandroupoli earlier this week led to organ transplants for three other men, reports said on Thursday.
The man’s liver and one of his kidneys were successfully transplanted into two men, aged 57 and 42, in Thessaloniki.
The second kidney went to a 42-year-old patient in Ioannina.
The 55-year-old’s corneas are to be transplanted in the coming days to patients in Alexandroupoli, reports said.
