Viotia man who killed wife in hospital following suicide attempt
A 40-year-old man from the village of Steiri in the prefecture of Vioti was in the hospital under police guard on Tuesday after apparently trying to kill himself following the fatal stabbing of his 32-year-old wife.
The 32-year-old was found in the hall of the couple’s home with stab wounds to her neck after the 40-year-old’s mother heard cries from her adjacent home and alerted the authorities when no one answered the door at the couple’s house.
