PAME to hold Syntagma protest at 8 pm
PAME, the Communist Party (KKE)-affiliated union, has planned an anti-austerity demo at Syntagma Square on Thursday at 8 p.m.
The rally will be attended by KKE’s general secretary Dimitris Koutsoumbas who replaced veteran Aleka Papariga at the helm of the hard-line Marxist-Leninist party in April.
In a statement Thursday PAME said the rally is organized in protest at “the new guillotine policies planned by the government and the troika.”
An opinion poll released Thursday put Greece’s communists on 7 percent.
