Greek FM pledges support to Cyprus
Supporting Cyprus and helping Nicosia find a viable solution to the island’s separation is Greece’s top foreign policy priority, Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos said on Tuesday as he met Cypriot Defense Minister Fotis Fotiou in Athens.
“Anyone who thinks that there is a bigger priority in our national policy than the Cyprus issue and the necessary political solution is wrong,” said Venizelos, who has already visited Cyprus and Turkey since taking over his role last month.
