Police raid Roma camp near Patra

Police have remanded 30 suspects for questioning following a crackdown on a Roma camps in Kato Achaia, some 20 km southwest of Patra in the Peloponnese, in response to a spike in crime in the area, reports said on Thursday.

Police have in the past few weeks launched similar raids in several Roma camps across the country.
