Two French women questioned over suspicious antiquities
Two French nationals were arrested on the southern Aegean island of Mylos on Sunday after being found to be carrying pieces of two ancient amphorae in the their luggage at the island’s airport.
The two female travelers were unable to provide evidence that they had these suspicious items in their possession legally and were taken into custody for questioning as the authenticity of the amphorae is determined.
