Interim public TV off air due to technical fault with digital signal
The interim public television service (DT), which began broadcasting in July following an acrimonious battle between the government and employees at the previous state-run TV and radio station, was off air in many households around Greece on Tuesday.
The problem was caused by a technical fault with Digea, which relays the digital TV signal to millions of households.
Viewers watching via the analogue frequencies and the Nova andd OTE satellite and cable services were not affected by the interruption in service.
