Local authority workers to join ADEDY strike
The union representing local authority workers, known by its acronym POE-OTA, said Thursday that its members would join a 48-hour strike called by the civil servants’ union ADEDY for September 18 and 19.
POE-OTA also called on its members to join a demonstration scheduled to begin at 11.30 a.m. in Klafthmonos Square next Wednesday, the first day of the strike, to underline their opposition to the government’s overhaul of the civil service.
