Priest sentenced for vandalizing car of man he believed was having an affair with his wife

A 65-year-old priest in Thessaloniki was sentenced to 20 months in prison on Monday for intent to cause grievous bodily harm after being found guilty of repeatedly vandalizing the car of a man that he believed was having an affair with his wife.

From February to June 2006, the priest poured acid onto his suspected rival’s car, torched it and cut the brake wires, before the man went to police to report the incidents.
