Transplant organization holds donation drive
People in northern Greece are far more likely to donate their organs than Greeks in other parts of the country, the Hellenic Transplant Organization (EOM) revealed on Friday.
EOM said that the national average for donors so far this year was 4.9 per million people, whereas in northern Greece it was 7.9.
EOM published the figures as it sought to raise awareness about organ donation in northern Greece.
